The fact is that we store our issues in our tissues,

and all trauma impacts the physical body. 

When women practice Goddess Yoga they often have breakthroughs

or huge energetic shifts in consciousness after just one class! 

Why? Because Goddess Yoga releases trauma through many layers in the different practices and movements that are so unique and different from traditional yoga.

 

First, we share in the beginning of each practice as we sit in circle-- this alone is considered one of the best treatments in a therapeutic environment for releasing shame.

 

It also gives women a sacred place to begin to speak our truth and be celebrated for it, and begins to re-wire our nervous system to feel safe in speaking authentically in class and out. 

 

Then-- the circular movements are literally moving stuck energy through our chakras, releasing emotions, and energetic imprints of things that have happened to us.

 

We also have portions of practice where we shake, and our bodies' nervous system is designed to shake out traumatic deep muscular tension and help the body return to its normal freed state. 

 

Then there is Pranayama ( conscious breathing ) -- 

The effects of this breathing are very powerful and can include:

  • Feelings of Oneness with the Universe

  • Physical and Emotional healing

  • The Releasing of Trauma

  • Meetings with and Messages from the Divine

  • Life-changing Breakthroughs

  • and Spiritual Awakening

Hello Goddess!

 Just a quick reflection of my first response to hearing about carrying trauma..

 You know I thought, I have been in therapy for years, I feel pretty happy, I'm sure this isn't about me- I was convinced I wasn't experiencing anything trauma related-- but then I read this list and was like damn... I guess I do.. but because I practice Goddess on the regular I have been able to release so much, and can happily say I feel almost NONE of these on a regular basis, AND when I DO, I move it out through Goddess.
